Installing the New High Sierra

The latest version of Mac OS, High Sierra, has been exclusively developed by Apple for its Mac computers. As discussed earlier, Mac computers run on specially designed operating systems that provide them with great stability and uniqueness. With both hardware and software components put together by Apple, these devices offer better compatibility features and an aesthetic sense. Apple develops most of the components or assembles the hardware from different tech manufacturers before building OS for these computers, which is quite different from how other computer manufacturers operate.

High Sierra is somewhat special compared to other operating systems, offering a premium feel with both hardware and software fully equipped with abundant features. Mac machines have gained popularity due to their uniqueness, and High Sierra has been no exception. With over million downloads during its release, this version of Mac OS has made a name for itself with improved performance and technical features.

For instance, I had to open my iMac again, swap the SSD for the HDD, and then do a fresh install to resolve the issue. The problem arose when I tried to upgrade from an earlier OS version to High Sierra. The issue was caused by a firmware problem that prevented me from installing High Sierra on a non-Apple SSD.

It's essential to note that Apple has specific requirements for installing its operating systems, and users should ensure they meet these requirements before attempting to install High Sierra. In my case, I had to put an OEM Apple HDD back in my iMac and install an OS before high Sierra, then upgrade to High Sierra, installing the firmware in the process.
